Case study
Genzyme Kevzara event at Hilton Amsterdam
Audiovisual production, plenary room technology, breakout room support and on-site technical crew for a multi-day corporate healthcare event at Hilton Amsterdam.
Project overview
Bano was asked by Inspired Live to provide audiovisual support for the Genzyme Kevzara event at Hilton Amsterdam. The event took place from 13 to 17 February and included a plenary programme, multiple breakout sessions and technical support on location.
Bano supported the project with audio, projection, presentation equipment, staging, breakout room technology, logistics and a dedicated lead technician throughout the event.
- Client: Inspired Live / Genzyme Kevzara
- Venue: Hilton Amsterdam
- Date: 13 to 17 February
- Project type: Audiovisual production for a corporate healthcare event
- Bano role: AV production, technical preparation, transport, build-up, operation and on-site support
The challenge
The event required a reliable audiovisual setup for multiple rooms inside the hotel. The morning programme was built around a plenary session, divided into two parts. In the afternoon, several breakout sessions took place in smaller rooms.
The schedule was tight. Technical build-up took place on the evening of 12 February, between 6 PM and 10 PM. The next morning, the rooms had to be ready for handover, rehearsals and the start of the programme.
For Bano, this meant that preparation, logistics, venue coordination and on-site execution had to be carefully aligned.
The solution
Bano equipped the plenary room with professional audio, presentation control and staging support. The existing projectors and screens from Hilton Amsterdam were integrated with Bano’s own control, presentation and audio equipment.
For the afternoon programme, six breakout rooms were prepared with practical audio and video setups. This allowed multiple sessions to run in parallel, with a technical setup that matched the use of each room.
Plenary room production
For the plenary programme, Bano provided Meyer Sound UPA/J loudspeakers, a Digico SD11 mixing console and Sennheiser wireless microphones, including headsets and handheld microphones.
Presentation control was handled with presentation notebooks and a Barco PDS seamless switcher. Hilton Amsterdam’s projectors and screens were integrated into this setup.
Bano also installed a stage of approximately 12 m², finished with skirting and carpet tiles. This gave the plenary programme a clean and professional presentation area.
Breakout rooms and parallel sessions
Six Orange rooms were set up as breakout rooms for the afternoon programme. These rooms were equipped with practical AV sets, projection screens and simple video switchers.
Specific power facilities were also provided for charging iPads in all rooms. This ensured that the technical setup supported not only presentation and audio, but also the practical use of devices during the sessions.
On-site support and logistics
Bano handled the transport of all required equipment from Groningen to Amsterdam. Careful preparation made it possible to complete the build-up within the available time window.
Senior project manager Pim Duiverman was present throughout the full event as lead technician. This gave the organisation one dedicated technical contact on location for build-up, handover, rehearsals, operation and support during the programme.
The result
The Genzyme Kevzara event was supported with a complete and reliable audiovisual setup for both the plenary programme and the breakout sessions. Through professional audio, presentation control, staging, logistics and dedicated technical support, Inspired Live could rely on stable technical execution at Hilton Amsterdam.
This case shows how Bano supports corporate healthcare and pharmaceutical events with practical preparation, professional AV technology and calm technical presence on location.
Why this project is relevant
For healthcare, pharmaceutical and corporate events, reliable technology is essential. Speakers, presentations, breakout sessions and plenary sessions need to run smoothly, without the event team having to manage technical details during the programme.
In this type of project, Bano is strong as the technical partner behind the scenes: preparation, transport, build-up, operation and support are handled practically, so the content of the event can remain the main focus.
