About Bano Event Technology

Bano Event Technology is a Dutch event production, audiovisual technology and stand construction company based in Groningen, the Netherlands. We support international organisations with corporate events, roadshows, conferences, congress projects, product launches, exhibition stands, livestreams and hybrid event productions across Europe.

For more than 60 years, Bano has worked in event technology. What started with sound and lighting has grown into a full-service production company where AV, staging, video, lighting, stand construction, logistics and on-site execution come together.

International clients work with Bano when they need one practical European production partner instead of separate suppliers for every technical discipline or event location.

What Bano stands for

At Bano, everything starts with creating a strong experience. For more than 60 years, we have helped organisations communicate their story through event technology, audiovisual production and technical execution.

Our name also carries the principles behind the way we work. BANO is built around four Dutch words: Betrouwbaar, Ambitieus, Nuchter and Ontzorgend. These words are not always easy to translate literally, because they reflect a very Dutch way of working: clear, practical, responsible and focused on getting things done properly.

Together, they describe what clients can expect from us before, during and after a project.

Betrouwbaar: reliable

Betrouwbaar means reliable, but for us it goes further than simply being on time. It means doing what we promise, being honest about what is possible, preparing properly and staying accountable when the pressure is on.

From the first technical plan to the live moment and the follow-up afterwards, clients need to know they can count on us.

Ambitieus: ambitious

Ambitieus means ambitious. Event technology, AV systems and live communication keep changing, and we want to keep moving with them.

We stay curious, keep learning and look for ways to make an event, installation or technical setup just a little stronger, smarter or more reliable than expected.

Nuchter: down-to-earth

Nuchter is a very Dutch word. It means down-to-earth, practical and clear-headed. No unnecessary drama, no complicated talk and no promises that do not make sense.

For Bano, it means working with skilled people who take responsibility, communicate clearly and focus on creating a good result together with the client.

Ontzorgend: taking care of the process

Ontzorgend is difficult to translate in one word. It means taking work, pressure and uncertainty away from the client.

Team Bano

Everything we do is a team effort. Behind every Bano project is a dedicated in-house team of more than 20 permanent specialists, all working towards the same goal: making technical production feel clear, reliable and well organised.

Our team brings together project managers, AV specialists, stand builders, logistics planners, warehouse crew, 3D designers, studio technicians and office support. Together, they make sure events, exhibition stands, AV installations and studio productions are prepared properly and delivered professionally.

For international clients, that joined-up way of working is especially valuable. A European event, roadshow, congress project or exhibition stand often involves many moving parts. Venue details, transport, crew, staging, sound, lighting, video, branding and on-site execution all need to fit together.

From local sound company to European production partner

Bano was founded in 1963 in the north of the Netherlands. The company started with sound and lighting, and over the years grew into a broader event technology and production partner.

That history still matters today. Live events have changed, but the basics have not: the sound needs to be clear, the timing needs to be right, the setup needs to be reliable and the audience needs to experience the message without technical distraction.

Today, Bano combines that practical event mentality with modern AV production, hybrid event technology, stand construction, logistics, studio production and European event support.
